Domestic Care

The price for domestic assistance generally covers the cost of delivering the service. In most cases, cleaning products and equipment are expected to be available in the home.

Domestic assistance helps keep your home clean, safe and comfortable, but it doesn’t include:

• General household expenses or professional services such as pest control, carpet cleaning or dry cleaning
• Pet care
• The cost of groceries or other purchased items

You can explore our full range of services to see what additional support may be available. Domestic care works best when it’s part of a broader plan, alongside personal care services or as a form of respite support.

You can begin organising aged care domestic assistance once you’ve been assigned a Support at Home funding level and have signed a service agreement with your Service Provider (like Five Good Friends!). From there, we’ll help you get set up and connected with the right support as quickly as possible.

Five Good Friends makes managing domestic assistance straightforward with our two types of Membership: 

• Self-Managed Membership – We give you the tools and support to confidently manage your Support at Home. You can organise domestic assistance in a way that suits your life, using our trusted network and easy-to-use tools, with guidance from our expert team whenever you need it.‍
• Fully Service Membership – We set up your care plan, organise your domestic assistance and handle the coordination, while keeping you involved in decisions about who supports you and how care fits into your routine.
