Five Good Friends NDIS Certification Assessment

Opportunity to participate in the Five Good Friends NDIS Certification Assessment

At Five Good Friends, one of our values is to strive for consistently exceptional outcomes. As a registered provider of NDIS-funded supports, there is a range of requirements we need to meet that are captured in the NDIS Practice Standards (the Standards) that also help drive this commitment. The Standards are designed to ensure that organisations such as ours operate in a manner that provides quality support services to NDIS participants.

On the 8th and 9th of December 2022, we will be undergoing the next of our regular assessments against these Standards with an approved quality auditing body named HDAA. HDAA is appointed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

We have always embraced these opportunities and are proud of our assessment record.

How does the assessment work?

The assessment involves an evaluation of our systems and processes. The purpose of the assessment is to help us continue to improve the services we offer you.

The independent assessment team from HDAA will:

  • review our policies and procedures
  • speak with staff including management
  • speak with NDIS participants and review their files.
  • If you choose to speak with the assessor and be interviewed, they will explore your experience with the services we provide. The review of files will allow the assessors to determine if we are meeting our requirements under the Standards.

Interviews will be conducted by phone and will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Any information you provide will be de-identified, your personal information will not be shared with us or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

How do I participate?

As an NDIS participant you are automatically enrolled in the process through the NDIS Commission's 'opt-out' rule. If you wish to participate by either allowing your record to be reviewed or by speaking to an assessor on one of the days, you do not need to do anything, this letter can be taken as your consent. Not everyone who agrees to participate may be contacted.

If you do not wish to take part, that is okay, please advise us by email on [email protected] or call and speak to our Customer Service Team on 1300 787 581. Your decision will be respected and will not in any way impact your services with Five Good Friends.

Thank you for choosing us to be your provider of support.
