Start your Helper journey

Beginning your journey as an Independent Contractor.

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Helper with Five Good Friends. We are excited to partner with you!

At Five Good Friends you will be utilising our platform to provide support to your Member (Client). Our app allows you to schedule in visits, view your Member’s Help Plan and automatically generate invoices.

What you'll need to register:

• General details including full name, address, phone number and email address
• ABN (Australian Business Number)
• Car registration (only if you wish to provide Driving and Community services)
• A little about you, your preferences and your experience
• Services you wish to provide & your availability
• A professional reference (the Member you will be supporting will serve as your second reference)
• Opportunity to interview to work with other Members (this is not necessary if you only wish to provide services to your Member)

Documents required for onboarding:

• A clear Aged Care industry relevant National Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Right to Work documentation (Passport, Birth Certificate or Australian Citizenship paperwork)
• Five Good Friends Statutory Declaration if you've lived overseas
• Five Good Friends Brokerage Agreement
• Banking Details
• Valid Identification (Driver's license, etc)

Five Good Friends Online courses:

You will be required to complete the following Five Good Friends e-learning modules. Our modules can be found in Learnupon- we will send you a link to complete them while you are onboarding. All care workers, which we call Helpers must complete the following modules:

• Infection Control
• Five Good Friends Induction
• Code of Conduct

Please note that you will not be paid (from Five Good Friends) for any visits (shifts) completed before you have finalised your onboarding and become active on the platform.

You confirm that you are able to provide the documentation and complete the required E-learning by continuing with your registration.

You will need to register to become a Helper on the Five Good Friends Platform to connect with the Member (Client) you wish to support through Five Good Friends. Once you are onboard as a Helper, you can choose to work exclusively with your Member only, or you can choose to provide services to multiple Members on the Platform.

Once we've got your registration details, we'll start to proceed with onboarding you as a Helper to get you connected with your Member as fast as possible.
