Five Good Friends is committed to the wellbeing of our Helpers both professionally and personally.

We have an Employee Assistance Program Access EAP who provide external, qualified counselling support to employees and managers. We would like to extend access to this program to Five Good Friends Helpers.

EAP counselling can assist when personal, family or work issues are impacting on one’s mental health or quality of life. It’s particularly relevant in industries such as aged care. Through professional and experience counselling sessions you can achieve your full potential.

When should I contact AccessEAP?

Many life challenges and changes are best resolved with assistance from an experienced counsellor. You may want to consider contacting Access EAP for the following reasons:

  • Improving relationships and communication with others
  • Facing crisis and trauma
  • Grief and loss support
  • Strategies for handling conflict
  • Facing alcohol, drug or gambling additions
  • Handling anxiety and stress effectively
  • Feeling depressed or down
  • Improving work performance
  • Assistance with financial or legal distress
  • Needing support to achieve your goals

How do I access EAP appointments?

To book an EAP appointment, you simply need to call 1800 818 728 and the AccessEAP team will arrange for you to speak with an experienced, professional counsellor and/or psychologist either face-to-face or over the phone. They are available 24/7. You will have three free appointments available to you. Further sessions may be availabe if AccessEAP makes this recommendation. All counsellors are independant of FGF. It is a confidential service and FGF will not be notified of who has accessed the service.
