Infection Control: An introduction

Effective infection control practices can reduce the risk of infection transmission between members, community workers, and others. In the home environment, infection control practices are an essential component of safe, quality community care.

In recent times some practices have become even more significant, such as hand hygiene and social distancing with the spread of COVID-19. Other techniques are relatively new, Australia's Antimicrobial Stewardship, for example.

It is for these reasons Five Good Friends has made this course mandatory and an annual event. You will receive a reminder each year to revise your infection control knowledge.

However, for the moment, let's start. You need to complete each module in order and the activities within the modules. Then, complete an online assessment that contains a variety of knowledge questions.
