Introducing the CHAT Speaker Series (Care, Help, Ageing, Thriving) made possible by Five Good Friends.
“While many people have a plan for retiring, very few people have a plan for growing old well and happy”. This insight was identified by Five Good Friends Ambassador, Ita Buttrose AO OBE, and is the inspiration behind the CHAT Speaker Series.
CHAT connects experts in the area of positive ageing with the local community through powerful and engaging talks (CHATs) so they can share their insights and advice. The next CHAT will be given by Dr Dimity Dornan AO, Founder, Hear and Say Centre and the 2017-2018 Senior Australian of the Year for Queensland in Bundaberg on May 8th.

Come along to hear Dr Dimity Dornan AO speak about a very serious issue affecting over 50’s, that most people simply have never heard about; the correlation between hearing deterioration and brain decline.
Simply put, adequate hearing is essential to keeping the brain’s auditory nerve stimulated, preventing us becoming socially isolated and maintaining friendships. All of which stave off brain deterioration, and allow us to age well.
Tickets are free, but limited so book now to hear Dr Dornan CHAT about this serious issue and what to do about it.
